Typical Day

No two days are exactly the same at camp. On the first day, Youth and Trekker campers will choose “skills” which they will attend for an hour each day, building on what they learned the day before to become proficient in their skill choices. Skills include, but are not limited to:

  • Archery
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Canoeing
  • Fishing
  • H2Awesome*
  • High Adventure*
  • Kayaking*
  • Kayak Polo*
  • Land Sports
  • Nature
  • Sailing*
  • Snorkeling*
  • Swimming
  • Wilderness Survival

*Some skills require a certain swim level or age to participate in.

Each day also contains two periods of structured free time. These include General Swim (G-Swim) and Camper’s Choice. During these times, scheduled activities are available and campers can choose where they wish to spend their time. If they choose not to swim or participate in a particular activity, they have the option of visiting the Trading Post or to just hang out with their new friends. All areas are properly supervised by camp staff.

All Youth and Trekker campers will also participate in a “Pack Out.” During their pack out, they will trek into the woods to cook their dinner over a campfire, and maybe even camp out if the weather permits!

Each day culminates with an all-camp activity! This varies each day depending on the theme and can include Capture the Flag, a Lip Sync Contest, Dutch Auction, Alpha Wolf, or the always popular “All-Camp-Dance!”
