SUMMER TREKKER CAMP
Boys and Girls Ages 13-16
DESIGNED FOR THE OLDER CAMPER

The Trekker
Program is designed specifically with our oldest camper’s interests in
mind. Although they participate in many traditional activities such as sailing,
snorkeling, archery, kayaking, etc, special time is set aside for them to
connect as friends and build important relationships. We feel that this is the
time in a child’s life when many challenges and peer pressures are at their
highest; therefore, we provide a safe and caring environment for the teenagers
to communicate and learn who they really are.
All Trekker
activities are supervised by counselors selected to work with the teen
population. Their training focuses on the issues facing this age group and how
to connect and be a role model for teenagers. Through inclusive activities and
a close community of teenage campers, Trekkers participate in fun camp skills,
develop social skills, and learn to appreciate each other.
Teen Extras
Trekkers have
opportunities not offered to our younger camper population. Due to maturity and
physical abilities, Trekkers will go on day trips to Kettle Moraine State park,
Lake Beulah canoeing trips, and have special Trekker Time. Trekker Time is a
portion of the day that allows our oldest campers the opportunity to choose
their course of activity. Although camp holds an all camp dance, Trekkers have
the special privilege of staying up later to dance and socialize, star gaze,
take night hikes, and a variety of other activities supervised under the
watchful eye of camp staff.
